Reading is Fun!

Scripture of the day: "Unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord." -Luke 2:11, KJV

This week I have a lot of reading to do. I am reading a book to review next week. I am also trying to read aloud to Bear and Fuzzy Duck as much as possible. I even started a reading journal for Bear at the recommendation by my SIL. She homeschools all of her children and is a certified teacher so she knows what she is talking about. My MIL is a retired reading specialist so we really love to read in this family. We also read the bible and the newspaper. My Hubby reads the news on the internet.

So what are you reading this week?

This week's menu:
  • Monday- taco night!!!
  • Tuesday- chicken and stuffing casserole and salad
  • Wednesday- leftovers
  • Thursday- spaghetti with cream sauce, salad, and cheesy garlic bread
  • Friday- pizza
  • Saturday- grilled chicken, rice pilaf, and corn
  • Sunday- Happy Mother's Day (I'm not cooking today, Hubby will be cooking for me!)

  • Banana Split Cake
What you will need:
9 honey graham crackers, crushed
1/3 cup butter, melted
2 pkgs. (8 oz. each) cream cheese, softened
1 can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple, drained

2 pkgs. (3.4 oz. each) vanilla instant pudding
2 cups cold milk

All I get to read this week are books for my class. Boo hoo. Readicide and The Book Whisperer, though I have been reading Don Colbert's Stress Less in the "reading room," if you know what I mean. I am finishing reading Little House in the Big Woods to the Three Amigos, then we will start the next one in that series. Fun!! Glad to hear you are enjoying reading. Gotta love it!
