Live for the weekend

Scripture of the day: "A foolish child is a father’s ruin, and a quarrelsome wife is like the constant dripping of a leaky roof." -Proverbs 19:13

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. We had a great one. We got to see friends from far and near. We went to the movies and got to spend time with family pool side. I live for the weekends when I know their will be lots of good times with friends and family.

This week's menu:
  • Monday- hamburgers and hot dogs with potatoes in butter and garlic sauce.
  • Tuesday- BBQ chicken, mac and cheese, and peas.
  • Wednesday- Chicken and veggie lasagna, salad, and flaky biscuits.
  • Thursday- Chicken stir-fry with veggies and brown rice.
  • Friday- pizza.
  • Saturday- Sun-dried tomato alfredo with salad.
  • Sunday- Hubby's choice (to be determined).
Recipe of the week:
  • Poppy seed chicken (taken from MOPS cookbook~Allison Brooks~pg.16)
What you will need:
5 cups chopped cooked chicken
1 (10.5 oz.) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 cup sour cream
1-1/2 cups crushed buttery round crackers
1 tsp. poppy seeds
1/2 cup butter, melted

Preheat the oven to 350. Place the chicken into a 9x13 inch baking dish. In a medium bowl, stir together the condensed soup and sour cream. Pour over the chicken. In a separate bowl, stir seeds and melted butter. Sprinkle over the chicken and sauce. Bake for 30 min. in the oven, until top of the casserole is browned and the sauce is bubbly.

Picture of the week:

Balloons are good for lots of stuff, including making one look preggo! LOL!

Activities the week:
  • Monday-Friday- stay home with kids b/c of heat. May run some errands and such, nothing special.
  • Saturday- Hubby works so maybe take kids to the pool.
  • Sunday- Church and relaxation.
Have a great week!

God Bless,
