Wordless Wednesday- Rest for the Weary Soul

This is my middle son Ducky. He is 3 1/2. After a very busy weekend and staying up late watching movies and eating popcorn he crashed hard Monday night. I found him like this on the sofa at 6pm. We had just eaten dinner and I was doing the dishes. I walked into the TV room and he was sounds asleep and didn't wake up until the next morning.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." -Matthew 11:28-30

The Lord will give us rest and peace. We can give him our problems and troubles and he will gladly take them in exchange for rest. I know that I have been struggling a lot lately with some health issues and resting seems very difficult. I can't sleep at night yet I am sleepy during the day. On the nights that I do sleep I wake up exhausted, as if I didn't sleep a wink. I have some doctors appointments coming up soon. I am very hopeful that I will get to the bottom of all of this.

Resting seems like such an easy thing to do. But, even if you are physically resting your mind can be racing.. Thinking of the what-ifs, the problems of life, the stress of a bad marriage, financial issues, etc. Give them all to God. He will give you rest.

Blessings,

Kristy

Happy Homemaker Monday- 5/26/14

Please visit Diary of a SAHM for more Happy Homemaker Monday!

Happy Memorial Day! Please take a moment to thank a service member today and thank God for those who gave their lives for yours. Freedom is never free. We have been teaching our boys about what this day means for us personally and for our country. They are very interested in the military and ask questions all the time. We live in a highly military populated area. We have family members, friends, and neighbors who serve our country. We are so thankful for them all.

As I Look Out My Window:::
The sun is shining on this beautiful Memorial Day. We have our flag flying in the front yard and the children are playing in the sandbox out back.

Right Now I Am:::
Watching a movie and writing this blog post. Just took a small nap (I woke up with a headache and it won't go away for some reason). I am also drinking a large glass of water with lemon to help hydrate my body and detox as well.

Thinking And Pondering:::
I have a lot on my mind today. I've been thinking about family and what that really means to me. Everyone has a different idea of what a family is or should be. To me a family is made up of those you love and want to be around. Whether it is your immediate family or extended family. Whether it is your in-laws or your friends from childhood. Family is what you make it. Family means love and acceptance. To me, family is everything because without it you have no one. Your family will be there for you when no one else is. I want to teach my boys that having a family to love is very important.

On My Bedside Table:::
Japanese Cherry Blossoms body lotion and a book.

On My TV This Week:::
I want to try to catch up on Call The Midwife (if I can find it on the internet or Netflix)
Random shows I may watch during the day with the kids.
Not too much.

Listening To:::
The TV and my children playing (I can hear them out back).
My Hubby cleaning something (LOL!).

On The Menu For This Week:::
Monday- Grilled chicken, corn on the cob, baked beans
Tuesday- Tacos, refried beans
Wednesday- Chicken tenders, mashed potatoes, peas
Thursday- Breakfast for dinner
Friday- Pizza night
Saturday- Burgers on the grill, potatoes, baked beans
Sunday- ??? (June menu planning will be sometime this week)

On My To Do List:::
June menu planning
Homeschooling
Laundry
Clean master bedroom
Re-organize the boy's rooms

Happening This Week:::
Hubby works late several nights this week to prepare for his upcoming inventory.
Hubby also has a softball game on Wednesday night.
My nephew's 5th birthday is Friday and I need to go buy him a gift and get it to him.
Dentist appointments for everyone on Tuesday.

What I Am Creating:::
Not much. I have not been feeling well (pain every day) so I have not felt like making anything.

My Simple Pleasure:::
Walking around an antique shop. I don't even have to buy anything. I just love to look around and get inspired by all of the old stuff. It is so relaxing and fun.

Homemaking Tips:::
Always do the dishes right after dinner. I have found that if I have a clean kitchen when I go to bed I feel better in the morning. I feel fresh and ready for my day.

Looking Around The House:::
There are small messes here and there. We have had a wonderful weekend doing "family" stuff so the cleaning has gone by the wayside. LOL!
There is mail piled up by the front door that needs to be gone through but it will get done eventually.

From The Camera:::

Prayer List:::
Friends and family who are sick and have appointments and such (there are several).
Friends and family who do not know the Lord (for their salvation).
For healing for myself.
For all of the families of the service men and women who have lost someone for our country and to those who currently serve.

Bible Verse/Devotional:::
"For I know the plan I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future." -Jeremiah 29:11

I have to remind myself of this verse every day. God has a great plan for me (and you) and I need to remember this during the hard times.

The Three Amigos Go Strawberry Picking And On A Date

Here in Virginia it is strawberry season. Every year we take the kids to the local farm and pick strawberries. They also make their own homemade vanilla and strawberry ice cream in which we thoroughly enjoy. We love to make strawberry shortcake, smoothies, ice cream toppings, and so much more with our stash. We had a blast last Saturday as a family. Even the baby loved sitting in the wagon and watching us pick the beautiful, red berries.

One of the best things about going to the strawberry farm is the ferry boat ride over there. The boys love it. I didn't get any pictures of us on the boat...silly me. But, we got plenty of pics while picking strawberries. There is nothing better than a fresh strawberry. Yum!

Monday night Bear, Ducky, and I went on a date at our local Chick-fil-a. They actually set up the restaurant so you can be served at your table. I made the reservations weeks ago. Baby Monkey was going to go but he was kinda grumpy that day so we left him with daddy. We got all dressed up and it was so much fun. There were white table cloths on the tables, candles, flowers, a girl was playing the cello, a clown, a guy on stilts making balloon animals, and the Chick-fil-a cow dressed as a king. The event was called "Mommy Son Date Knight".

As you can see we had a blast and my "knights" were such good gentlemen. We do a date night about once a month. Normally, I only take one boy at a time but sometimes they both like to go. Baby Monkey will get to go once he is a bit older.

I hope you had a great weekend. I know it's Wednesday and another weekend is coming up. Hubby has a 3 day weekend and we are so looking forward to it. I am having breakfast with my bestie on Saturday morning. I haven't seen her in so long so it will be nice to catch up. Not sure what we will do other than that but I am sure we will get into something. I do know there will be some grilling going on. I love grilled food!

Blessings,

Kristy

Happy Homemaker Monday- 5/19/14

Please visit Diary of a SAHM for more Happy Homemaker Monday!

Happy Monday! We had another great weekend around here. We took the boys strawberry picking on Saturday morning. The farm also makes their own homemade strawberry and vanilla ice cream in which we thoroughly enjoyed. We went to a cookout at my mom's house on Saturday night. LOTS of family! It was a very good time of visiting and eating tons of food. Sunday I woke with a migraine so we did not go to church. After much medication and a nap I woke up feeling better. We went for a walk in the historical part of town with a friend and her daughter (the boys love her daughter!). It was really nice and we got some cookies that they only make there. Yum! I hope you had a great weekend as well. Here's to another wonderful week!

As I Look Out My Window:::
The sun is shining and the big boys are outside playing. The baby is napping so they are having fun playing with the neighbor girls.

Right Now I Am:::
Writing this blog post and thinking about different things going on this week.

Thinking And Pondering:::
About how hard it is to get a dr appt in this town. It took me 30 min to get an appt for June this morning for my shoulder. Ridiculous! Also, thinking about why some people just can't forgive and move on from things in life. Life is so short and Jesus died on the cross and forgave us of our sins. Why do we hold grudges and keep score? I believe letting go of past hurts and forgiving is the best way to free ourselves from the bondage of bitterness and unforgiveness. We don't do that because of pride. I have been there and it is more damaging to yourself to not forgive than it is for the other person. Lay down your cares at the foot of the cross and God will take care of you.

On My Bedside Table:::
The Power of a Praying Wife
A Mom After God's Own Heart

On My TV This Week:::
24
NCIS
Movie night on Friday

Listening To:::
The quiet of the house while the baby is napping.

On The Menu For This Week:::
Monday- Mother/Son date Knight at Chick fil a with the big boys
Tuesday- Spaghetti and salad
Wednesday- leftovers
Thursday- BBQ chicken, bacon and cheddar scalloped potatoes, corn, cornbread
Friday- pizza night (Mexican style)
Saturday- hamburgers on the grill with french fries and baked beans

On My To Do List:::
House keeping
Clean master bedroom thoroughly
Dust
Sweep/mop
Homeschooling

Happening This Week:::
Monday- Mother/Son date knight with the big boys.
Maybe visiting some family in between. We will see what the week brings.
Saturday- breakfast with my bestie.
Other than that we have nothing planned...I like it that way!

What I Am Creating:::
Not too much lately. I have lots of projects waiting though ;-)

My Simple Pleasure:::
Painting my fingernails. I know it sounds silly but I love to have painted nails. I used to be a nail technician for natural nails and I try to keep them looking good.

Homemaking Tips:::
Make as many things as you can from scratch. Not only is it healthier but it will save you tons of money. I like to make my own bread (though I have been slacking on this), coffee creamer (thanks to pinterest), and snacks for the kids.

Looking Around The House:::
Strawberries are in the kitchen ready to be cut up and put in the freezer.
There are a few dishes in the sink from lunch and shoes are on the floor from the boys playing outside.
The dog is sitting on the sofa taking a nap...it's what she does best!

From The Camera:::

Prayer List:::
My MIL who hurt her knee last week.
My Grandpa who is in the hospital with lots of health problems.
My sisters kids who have strep throat, bronchitis, and ear infections.
My other niece who has strep throat.
My children to stay well with all of these health issues going around the family.
My own health issues with my shoulder (finally made an appt for June).

Bible Verse/Devotional:::
"Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation." -Psalm 68:5

This verse is such a great verse. It speaks to my heart about how God takes care of orphans and widows. We should all be this kind of example.

My Life With Chronic Pain

For almost 2 years now I have been living with chronic pain in my right shoulder, arm, wrist, and hand. I have been to orthopedists, doctors, and chiropractors. Some of the things they suggested helped temporarily but never any real relief. I was "diagnosed" with carpal tunnel, tennis elbow, and hand and shoulder disorder. I am not even sure what that last one is but the doctor said it was caused by holding my baby. I don't hold him as much as he thinks I do.

I believe the carpal tunnel part because I have done a lot of research on it and it is exactly my symptoms. I researched tennis elbow and well, I don't think I have that because my pain is not in the area that tennis elbow is supposed to be. My shoulder problem is the worst. There are days when I can't even move it.

I take medication but try not to do that too often because of the side effects. I use a wrist brace for the carpel tunnel but it really doesn't help except at night. I have iced and rested these body parts. I have put them on the heating pad and gotten chiropractic help. Apparently, I had a vertebrae in my neck that was twisted. It helped for a while but I just can't go as often as he would like me to...I do have 3 children that need a babysitter for things like that. I can't get a sitter to save my life (except once in a great while).

Living every single day of my life in horrible pain has made me a different person. I tend to get irritable more easily and don't want to take the kids out because of the pain. I have even gone to the extent of trying different herbs and natural remedies and NOTHING is helping me. I cry out to God every single day for relief.

My wonderful Hubby has given me massages to help with the knots in my shoulder. I have even gotten massages from my neighbor (who is a massage therapist). She hasn't been able to help lately since she just had a baby. I just live with it, deal with it, try to ignore it.

If you are living with chronic pain that cannot be explained by a doctor I feel your pain. When I tell the doctor that nothing is working he blames me. He says that I must not be doing something right or I need to get more rest. I don't know how much more rest I can get with 3 small children. Perhaps he could come over and watch them while I go take a nap and rest my arm. LOL! I know what you are going through. Some days I don't even want to get out of bed because then I have to face my pain. I have to trudge on through life feeling the weight of the world on my "shoulder".

Speaking of sleep. Ha! That is a joke. I have tried so many things to get comfortable. We even bought a memory foam mattress topper. It is very nice except for my shoulder hurting. I take sleeping meds and that doesn't help either.

God is the Healer and the Great Physician. I know He can heal me and help me through this pain each day. He is with me with every twinge on pain, with every ache of my muscles, with every sore movement. Whether this pain is here to stay for a lifetime or just for a season to test my strength and trust in God, I know He will carry me through it.

"O Lord my God, I called to you for help and you healed me." -Psalm 30:2

"Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows." Isaiah 53:4

"Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed." -Jeremiah 17:14

"He said to her, 'Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.'" -Mark 5:34

"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." -Revelation 21: 4

I really hope these bible verses help you if you are in pain and need healing. I am praying for you and please keep me in your prayers as well.

Blessings,

Kristy

Happy Homemaker Monday- 5/12/14

Don't forget to stop by Diary of a SAHM for more Happy Homemaker Monday!

What a wonderful weekend filled with lots of family time. Friday Hubby got off early and we took the kids to the beach for a couple of hours. It was so much fun. The kids really enjoyed it and the baby had a blast too. Saturday I took my mom to get a pedicure (our traditional thing to do for Mother's Day). It was so relaxing. I came home and just relaxed at home with the fam for the rest of the day. Sunday we went to church and then we came home where Hubby made the best lunch ever for me. Steak, grilled potatoes, corn on the cob, baked beans, wine, and cake for dessert. I am so blessed! I hope you all had a great Mother's Day whether you are a mother or just spoiled others with your love.

As I Look Out My Window:::
The birds are chirping and the sky is blue. I love beautiful days like this. The children will go out and play in a while and it is the perfect day for it.

Right Now I Am:::
Trying to get my stomach to stop aching. For some reason I woke up with a tummy ache and I am in horrible pain. I just finished with school with the kids and now they are watching Leap Frog. I figured if they were going to watch TV they could at least be learning something...lol!

Thinking And Pondering:::
I have been thinking a lot lately about my diet and my health. I have a lot of health issues going on and my doctor can't seem to help me. He has run tests and because the numbers are in the "normal" range he just dismisses my symptoms. He even told me that I have "new mommy syndrome" and I "made up my symptoms". Really? You can't figure it out so you just give me this crap! I have very little faith in the health care system at this point. So, I am on a journey to self diagnose and try to figure out what is going on. Please pray for me.

On My Bedside Table:::
Lip balm, a book, an old love letter from my husband that I found in my dresser.

On My TV Tonight:::
Catching up on "Call The Midwife"
Not too much...don't watch tv very much.

Listening To:::
An airplane outside my window and the quiet of the boys watching a show on tv.

On The Menu For This Week:::
Monday- Steaks on the grill, potatoes, beans (leftovers)
Tuesday- BBQ meatloaf, mac and cheese, peas
Wednesday- Chicken alfredo, salad, Texas toast
Thursday- leftovers
Friday-  Homemade pizza (chicken and bbq sauce)
Saturday- Cookout at my mom's house
Sunday- Slow cooker beef and broccoli with noodles

On My To Do List:::
Homeschooling
Send birthday card to my BIL
Send a card to Hubby's grandpa
Send a card to my Nanny
Laundry and dishes
Clean the bathrooms

Happening This Week:::
Appt. tomorrow for baby
Lunch with a friend from high school (and my kids favorite babysitter) on Wednesday
Cookout at my mom's house on Saturday

What I Am Creating:::
Still working on that quilt for my neighbors baby girl and I recently got a pattern for a skirt. I can't wait to get started.

My Simple Pleasure:::
Playing solitaire on my phone...haha! I just discovered this app and it is very relaxing. It doesn't require much thinking...which can be a good thing. I know it sounds silly but with all of life's demands and stresses playing a simply game on my phone brings me pleasure.

Homemaking Tips:::
Make a schedule for your housekeeping chores. I have a tentative schedule on my fridge that I printed up and laminated. I don't include every single thing but I do have a daily chores section and a section for each day's chores. It is a helpful guide. I don't do each of the chores religiously every single day but it helps to remind me of what needs to be done. You know, in case I forget something. LOL!

Looking Around The House:::
I see toys and shoes on the floor but it's ok. I am not in a hurry to clean it up today as I am not feeling well. I also see the beautiful flowers that my hubby and children gave to me yesterday.

From The Camera:::

Bear and Ducky testing out the water.

Prayer List:::
Friends and family who are sick or hurt.
My mom who took a bad fall last week and split her head open.
All the women who didn't get to celebrate Mother's Day because of infertility or miscarriage or the death of a child.
My own health and the unanswered questions I have about it.

Bible Verse/Devotional:::
I am going to share one of my favorite resources for devotionals. It is Proverbs 31 Ministries. Please look them up and sign up for their daily email devotionals. I have gained so much by receiving them each day. You will be blessed.

To All My Mom's on Mother's Day!

I have been so blessed in my life to have a really great mama. She is such a hard worker, dedicated mother, and faithful to her family. My parents were never married to each other. My mom had me at a young age and basically raised me for a while by herself. My dad was around but only on weekend visits. My mom has always been there for me. She met my step-dad when I was 3 or 4 and married him when I was a little older. She and my step-dad have been together ever since and have children together as well.

My mom is such a trooper. She has been through so much in her life. She never let any of her circumstances make or break her. She is stronger than any woman I have ever met. That is why I love Mother's Day. Each year we go get pedicures together (sometimes my younger sister comes). This year is no different. We are going tomorrow morning for our yearly pedi's. BTW- keep her in your prayers. She fell this morning and hit her head. She spent the morning in the ER and left with at least 9 stitches in her head.

There she is...my wonderful mama and my step-dad.

I have also been blessed by having a step-mom as well. She and my dad have been married since I was a little girl. She has a son who is my step-brother as well. She is now raising my niece and is such a good "mama" to her. I know that if I needed her she would be there.

My step-mom and baby Monkey!!

Once again, I am so happy to have a MIL that is so loving. She is like a mother to me and has given me such good advice over the years. She raised such a wonderful man who is my Hubby. I am so grateful to have a great MIL. I hear so many horror stories of "Monster-in-laws". I truly got a good one. I thank her all the time for being so good to me.

There she is with my FIL. They have such a wonderful relationship.

I have other mom's in my life as well. They are not my "mom's" but they are mother's to other children and I would like to represent them here. These women mean a lot to me and I am truly, truly blessed to have them in my life.

Here is my sister and her youngest son (she has 4 son's and 1 daughter).
She is very blessed for sure!

This is me and my Bestie! She has a son (whose name happens
to be the same as my oldest son...I copied her). We have been
friends for many, many years. I would like to say that
she is a sister to me.

This is my SIL. She is such a wonderful lady.
She has 6 children of her own (plus 2 in heaven).
She also does foster care for 2 little ones and
has had a teenage girl in her care as well.
She is busy but loves every minute of it.

I am so thankful that God chose me to be a mama to my precious boys: Bear (5), Ducky (3), and Monkey (14 months). It is such an honor and a blessing. We have our bad days but most days it is so amazing watching them grow, learn, and play.

I hope all of you have a very Happy Mother's Day. If you do not have children or have lost a child I am praying for you. I think of Baby Kendall during this time and yearn to to hold him in my arms. I know that I will one day though. To those who do not have children spend the day with your mom or sister or grandmother or a friend who is a mama. Celebrate them or give them the day off from their duties. Trust me...they will appreciate the break.

Thinking of you all this weekend!

Blessings,

Kristy

Books We've Been Reading {The Three Amigos}

I thought I would share some of the books we have read this year at Jensen Family Academy. These would be the books I read aloud to the kids for school each day. Typically, I read a chapter or two depending on the boy's attentions spans. LOL! Even little Monkey boy joins in on the listening once in a while.

I must say that I really enjoy our read aloud time each day. I read books during our "school time" but at night when they are snuggled up in their beds and are quiet, that's when I really love it. They listen and ask questions. They are so precious during those times.

I hope you read to your little ones daily. It is so worth it and they have learned so much from just listening to me read to them. Just give it a try. You will love it! And, so will they!

Blessings,

Kristy

Happy Homemaker Monday- 5/5/14

Please visit Diary of a SAHM for more Happy Homemaker Monday.

Another weekend come and gone. We had absolutely beautiful weather here in Virginia. Saturday I went shopping with my MIL for a couple of hours. It was nice to go somewhere and not have little ones to watch every second. I love them dearly but sometimes you just have to get away. We went to the antique mall and I got two Jan Karon books that I don't currently have for $6 total. That morning I took the kids to Walmart by myself...what a crazy experience. LOL! Never again! We had our house power washed and got a bathroom ceiling put on as well. Since Bear has been under the weather with a terrible cough (he is on a nebulizer machine) and I have an earache we decided to stay home from church and get things done around the house. We did laundry, mowed the lawn, finished power washing the house, and many other things. Also, Hubby caught a snake in our yard and took it down the road a ways to get rid of it. Just a black snake but I don't want him here. Ha!

As I Look Out My Window...
The sun is going in and out behind clouds and there is a light breeze blowing. The temp has changed a lot since yesterday and it is chilly. The birds are happy and we have a few new flowers in the garden. So beautiful.

Right Now I Am...
Eating half of a 3 Muskateers bar. I bought it over the weekend and put it in the fridge. It is so good. I am also trying to relax a little since this earache is so painful. On a side note, Hubby brought some ear drops home to me on his lunch break...how sweet.

Thinking And Pondering...
How blessed I am to be able to stay at home with my children and have the freedom to homeschool them. I am so blessed to live in a country that has religious freedom so that I can worship God without fear of being imprisoned or killed. I know people complain about living in the USA but I feel blessed to live here.

On My Bedside Table...
Sleep meds, a book, lip balm, and my wrist brace.

On My TV Tonight...
Will probably just flip through the channels. I just don't think there is much on TV worth watching anymore. I normally end up watching The Cosby Show, Gilligan's Island, or Everybody Loves Raymond.

Listening To...
The quietness of nap time. In the background I can hear The Wizard of Oz. My oldest son doesn't take naps anymore and he decided he wanted to watch this old classic today. He just loves it.

On The Menu For This Week...
Monday- Tacos (Happy Cinco De Mayo)
Tuesday- Chicken, bacon, ranch pasta with salad and Texas toast
Wednesday- leftovers
Thursday- Hawaiian sweet French bread with bacon
Friday- Homemade pizza night
Saturday- All-in-one crockpot pork chop dinner (includes potatoes and corn)
Sunday- it's Mother's Day and I ain't cookin' (LOL!)

On My To Do List...
Laundry
Dishes
Change out Monkey's clothes to summer
Clean master bedroom
Homeschooling
Make pedicure appointment for my mom and I for Saturday ;-)

Happening This Week...
Not too much going on.
Monday- Hubby has softball practice
Tuesday- nothing
Wednesday- Hubby has softball game
Thursday- nothing
Friday- appointment for Monkey and taking all of the kids to the beach
Saturday- pedicures for my mom and I for Mother's Day
Sunday- church and cookout

What I Am Creating...
Still working on the quilt for my neighbor's daughter. I figure she'll get it before she turns 18. LOL!

My Simple Pleasure...
Getting a foot rub from my Hubby. I just love it and I could fall asleep!

Homemaking Tips...
Get the kids involved. Give them special chores that they can do with you. My boys love to wash windows and glass table tops and do the dishes. They love to sweep and take the dog for walks as well. Anything to get them to have fun while cleaning and helping.

Looking Around The House...
For the most part it is tidy except the dishes in the sink. We got a new microwave b/c the old one caught on fire yesterday. We rearranged the kitchen so there is more counter space. It's nice to have a house that is semi-clean.

From The Camera...

This is one of my favorite pics of Hubby and I.

Prayer List...
Praying for Bear and his coughing. He feels awful.
All of the boys are sick in some form so praying for healing for all of us.
Praying for myself and this earache. It is so painful.
Praying for marriages to be mended in America and across the world.
Praying for family and friends who are sick, hurt, lost, or sad.

Bible Verse/Devotional...
"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." -John 16:33

Blessings,

Kristy

Friday's Letters {5/2/14}

Please visit Diary of a SAHM for more Friday's Letters.

Dear Friday...
Thank you for gracing us with your presence once more. Oh, how I love thee. Unfortunately, Hubby works Saturday this week so you feel more like a Thursday but I love you anyway. The weather is beautiful after 4 days of rain.

Dear Marley...
I know you are just a little chihuahua and we love you very much but you have got to stop pooping on the floor. You are so cute and white and friendly but this really has to stop. I hate cleaning up the mess and it smells horrible. Please do your business outdoors like a normal dog.

Dear Car Repair Place...
I just wanted to let you know how much we appreciate you fixing our car. Yes, it will cost a small fortune. Yes, we took our car in for a routine state inspection and you found thousands of dollars worth of things wrong with it. Yes, you slapped a rejection sticker on our car. But, you are fixing the problems and we will have our car back in tip-top shape today. I am thankful for our vehicles as God has provided them for us to use.

Dear Netflix...
Thank you for babysitting my children while I took a shower this morning. It is rare that I get to shower during the daylight hours and it is a refreshing change. The baby took his morning nap and the children watched a movie quietly. I am very appreciative of your services.

Dear Monkey...
You started walking this week. I mean really walking. It is the cutest thing ever and I am so happy for you. You are like a little man just walking around here like you know what you are doing. I am treasuring this monumental moment because I just love all your "firsts". You are growing up so fast (and so are your brothers). I wish time would just slow down so I could capture each moment on camera.

Dear Book of Ephesians...
I have read you many times but yesterday I read you again with fresh eyes. I think I underlined the entire book and highlighted several passages. It spoke to me and helped me to see a lot of things in my life for what they are. Thank you God for giving Paul the insight to write this wonderful book in the Bible.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend filled with fun family times. Since my Hubby works tomorrow we will be hanging out at home for the most part. I may go grocery shopping tomorrow with all of the children by myself...say a prayer for me. LOL! Happy Weekend!

Blessings,

Kristy
