Tiny Bear's Bible {Review}

Since Monkey turned two in March I have been searching for a bible that he would love. The big boys have a couple of bibles but they seem too big for Monkey. When I saw Tiny Bear's Bible I grabbed it up quickly. I am so glad I did. It is a sweet little bible and the pictures are just precious.

It comes with a cover that is soft and furry like a Teddy bear. You can cuddle it and sleep with it. Monkey just adored having his own bible. He carries it everywhere and likes to pull at the ears on the bible. Throughout the book there are pictures of Tiny Bear and his family. For instance, on one page will be an illustration of a bible story and on the adjacent page is an illustration of Tiny Bear doing something that correlates with that bible story.

Tiny Bear's Bible is small enough for little hands to handle and the pages are board-book material. So, they are thicker and won't tear very easily. This is a wonderful aspect for me because I have three boys who are rough on books.

This book was written by Sally Lloyd-Jones who is also the author of many other books including another one of my favorites, The Jesus Storybook Bible. My older boys have that one and it is their favorite. I just love that Tiny Bear's Bible is now Monkey's favorite book.

It is illustrated by Igor Oleynikov who has published many children's books from around the world. He lives in Moscow with his family.

Each day I read this book (sometimes several times a day) to my children. They study the pictures and ask questions. They are very curious boys. The bible stories are written in a poetic and sing-song kind of way so that little ones can better understand what is being said. God's love shines through in this wonderful children's bible.

Here is what others had to say about it:

"Tiny Bear's Bible is a WARM, FRIENDLY, FURRY Bible for preschoolers with an irresistible message: GOD LOVES his children.
An adorable story Bible for kids 6 and under written by bestselling author Sally Lloyd-Jones. Tiny Bear's Bible is a warm, fuzzy reminder of how God loves his children - in a format that kids can cuddle. Together with their friend Tiny Bear, children discover eleven Bible stories in a book they can carry with them wherever they go. The closing story leaves us with this loving reminder: "No matter what, no matter where, God is with us, Tiny Bear." Sally Lloyd-Jones presents some of the most familiar Bible stories to children, which provides parents and grandparents lots of teachable, cuddly moments as they explore God's love together."

Tiny Bear's Bible is written for preschoolers so that they can better understand God's love for them. It engages their attention for just the right amount of time. Small children have a short attention span and this book kept my children's attention and got them asking more questions about God, Jesus, and the bible.

I was given this book for review by Book Look Bloggers. All opinions expressed here are solely my own.
