Mermaid Moon by Colleen Coble {Review}

This is my second book review for a book by Colleen Coble. It is also the second book in The Sunset Cove Series called Mermaid Moon. Last year I reviewed the first one in the series titled The Inn At Ocean's Edge. I am very excited to tell you about Mermaid Moon and I hope you grab it for yourself (as well as The Inn At Ocean's Edge). They are wonderfully intertwined and use some of the same characters.

Mallory Davis has not set foot in her hometown in nearly 15 years. So much confusion and hurt surround Mermaid Point and she just can't get past it. A phone call from her father changed her entire world in an instant. She is forced to go back to her home and find out what happened to her father. He mysteriously dies and she is left putting the pieces together. She believes it was murder but can't prove it.

When she arrives back home to investigate her fathers untimely death, she is met by her long ago ex-boyfriend, Kevin O'Connor. As soon as she sees him she knows her heart never left home. Her daughter Haylie joins her on her mission as well as her best friend and neighbor Carol.

While they are unraveling the details of her past and how her father was killed, many things begin to happen to her and her family. There are people who do not want her investigating the death of her father and will do anything to keep her from discovering the truth behind her past. As she searches for answers she begins to get close to Kevin again. They start to rekindle old feelings and love that never really faded, even after all these years.

This is one of my favorite books I have ever read. I recommend reading the first one in the series beforehand. There are a few references to that book as well. It will help you to understand who certain characters are. It is an easy read and you won't want to put it down. When I finished this book I felt like I had to say goodbye to friends. I know...silly. But, I really loved this book and the characters.

*I received this book from BookLookBloggers in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed here are solely my own.*
